Suzuki GB Plc has appointed UK-based embedded insurance platform Wrisk to underpin its newly redesigned car-insurance proposition, marking a significant shift toward digital, subscription-style cover. Under the partnership, Wrisk will supply both the digital platform and intermediary services required by Suzuki to launch and scale a monthly rolling insurance subscription across the UK market.
The proposition grants both new and existing Suzuki customers access to “Suzuki Specialist Insurance”, which ensures guaranteed access to approved repairers. At the point of vehicle purchase, customers will also benefit from complimentary drive-away coverage, ensuring immediate protection.
Denis Houston (Director of Aftersales at Suzuki) commented:
“Our partnership with Wrisk allows us to move beyond traditional annual policies and offer a truly customer-centric, monthly rolling subscription without any hidden fees which aligns perfectly with our ambition to be ‘the trusted car brand’. Wrisk’s deep understanding of the automotive sector, combined with their cutting-edge platform, makes them the ideal partner to deliver a seamless, integrated insurance solution that fundamentally enhances brand loyalty.”
Robert Cottrell (VP Commercial, Wrisk) added:
“We are delighted to partner with Suzuki, a brand that shares our values of continuous innovation to deliver truly customer-centric products. This partnership supports Suzuki on their continued journey as a market-leader, defining a new standard in the industry by transforming their insurance proposition into a true value-add for the customer and a strategic asset for the brand.”
The move comes at a time when the automotive market—in the UK and beyond—is witnessing growing demand for flexible, digital insurance models. Industry commentary highlights how embedded insurance propositions and monthly subscription cover are increasingly viewed as ways for manufacturers to strengthen customer relationships and build loyalty over the vehicle lifecycle.
